Editorial Policy

This page explains how Best SUV Review researches, writes, rates and updates its content, so you can judge how much to rely on it.

Our Standards

  • Accuracy first. Every specification, price, capacity, interval and rating we publish is checked against a reliable source before it appears on the Site.
  • No invented data. If a figure cannot be verified — or reputable sources disagree — we say so or leave it out rather than guess.
  • Clear about uncertainty. Numbers that vary by model year, trim, drivetrain or market are labelled, and estimates are marked as estimates.
  • Useful over long. Each article answers the reader’s question near the top, then provides supporting detail, tables and step-by-step instructions.

How We Rate Vehicles

Our reviews are research-based. We do not claim road tests we have not done. Each vehicle receives five sub-scores out of 10, judged against the compact-SUV class:

  • Performance — power, acceleration and driving behaviour as reported by expert testing;
  • Comfort & Space — passenger room, cargo volume and ride comfort;
  • Tech & Safety — IIHS/NHTSA results and standard driver-assistance and infotainment features;
  • Efficiency — EPA combined fuel economy;
  • Value — price, equipment and warranty coverage.

The overall rating is the average of the five sub-scores. Ratings are updated when a model changes meaningfully.

Independence and Advertising

We are not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or dealer and do not accept payment for coverage or ratings. The Site is funded by display advertising (including Google AdSense). Advertisers cannot see articles before publication and have no influence over our content.

Images

We use images we have the right to use: public-domain, Creative Commons-licensed or otherwise licensed photos, credited in the caption as the licence requires.

Corrections and Updates

When we find or are told about an error, we correct it and update the article. Substantial updates — such as new model-year data, prices, safety ratings or recalls — are reflected in the article’s date. To report an error, use our contact page and include the article link and the source for the correct information.
